Did you know Jacob has been the number one boy’s name in the US since 1999? Ironically this is one of the names my husband and I have chosen as a possibility if we have another boy. Whenever I hear a story like this one I always think of the episode of Friends where Pheobe discovers that the laws in the United States allow for one to legally change one’s name to virtually anything. I always wanted a nickname, but was never blessed with one. A few years ago, I decided it certainly was not too late and I could still get myself a nickname if I just worked hard enough at it.
