Fall Activities with Baby

I’m not very big into Halloween. I don’t usually dress up (although my kids think I should) and I only do what is necessary to make my kids’ halloween dreams come true. The great thing, for someone like me, about having a baby at Halloween is that they are not begging for candy, or going trick or treating, and a costume is just a bonus. Not really necessary. Yet, there are many people unlike me who love Halloween. They dress their babies up in cute costumes, and take them trick or treating to show off the costumes. Maybe to get … Continue reading

Have A Happy Halloween With Your Toddler

Halloween is just around the corner, and for the parents of toddlers it can be both a very fun and a very challenging holiday to navigate. Getting your little guy or girl into a costume is not likely to be much of a battle because most toddlers love to play “dress up”. If you want, you can even get into the act with a compatible costume for yourself. Your toddler is sure to love seeing Mommy, Daddy, or both “playing dress up” too. This year, Dylan has decided that he would like to be a fireman. He already has his … Continue reading

Halloween Fun With Your Baby

Last Halloween, we did not go trick-or-treating. My son was only 6 months old and we did not think it would go over well. Plus, it might have looked pretty silly to ask for candy when it was clear we would be the only ones eating it. This year, however, we will be taking him trick-or-treating with both sets of grandparents. Some of our friends and family will have treats that are toddler friendly and we think that our son will get into it now that he is old enough to grasp the concept. We are also working on “please” … Continue reading

Halloween Costumes for Pregnant Moms

Expecting mothers don’t have a lot of choices in Halloween costumes. I think dressing up is great fun for parents, even if you just wear a special hat or tie on a pirate’s bandanna. You shouldn’t have to miss out on the fun just because you are pregnant. A friend of mine one year was quite pregnant on Halloween. On an impulse, she decided to dress as a pregnant cat. She glued baby bottle nipples down the front of her shirt, put on a headband with cat ears, and drew whiskers on her face. The effect was hilarious! Another friend … Continue reading
