It features hard to find accessories, extremely useful parent-invented items and unique clothes. I have to tell you that I wish I had found Baby Dagny before I had all my children. From unique onesies to a hooded baby towel that you actually wear (see below), Baby Dagny has my vote for the trendiest clothes and best products for babies. Unique Products So the clothes are super cute (who wouldn't love a onesie with a picture of a pacifier that says "PACIFIST" underneath?) but Baby Dagny has the corner market on unique products. Take for example the Coocoose. It is a thick terry towel apron that you wear to get baby out of the tub. It has enough material that when you get baby out you can cuddle him up in the towel and dry him off. If you've always had babies that loved the bathtub then you are not likely to be impressed by such an item. However, for those of us who have had "bath haters"--trust me, this would be great to have. Or how about the Travel Buddy? It's a portable high chair, changing pad, grocery cart seat and you can even put it on the floor and use it as a little chair. If I had known about these before I had the twins--I would've gotten two. Unique Philosophy What I think is really great about this company is their constantly expanding program to help 'mom-preneurs'. Baby Dagny was started by a mom and is in fact named after her baby daughter--Dagny. She realized quickly that necessity is the mother of invention and that lots of moms have 'invented' great things to make life easier with their tots in tow. Consequently, you can submit an invention to their design team and they give you back up funding, marketing expertise and support to make your invention a reality. One example of a successful product by a mom-preneur is the car seat cooler. Says the owner and founder of Baby Dagny--"They're (inventions by moms) always very pragmatic. Why wouldn't they be? They have offered in the past (and are currently offering) free Wubbanub pacifiers to whomever creates a gift registry and has 10 people view that registry. Several people i know (myself included) fulfilled the requirements and were told that our pacifiers were on the way to us. None of us ever received the pacifiers. A few of us reported Baby Dagny to the Better Business Bureau (with whom Baby Dagny has an "F" rating) and we also attempted to contact the company ourselves. No one ever got a response. That is disrespectful to consumers and just plain BAD business ethics. kashford (10) 06 May 2008 07:00 PMit wasn't just me. it was like 30 mothers in my birth club on babycenter.com. NONE of us received them, and we all participated and fulfilled the requirements...businesses shouldn't make offers if they aren't going to stand by them and follow through.
